Full day training, 9.30am-4pm

The course content follows the First Aid Code of Practice and HSE requirements as outlined below.
- The responsibilities of a First Aider
- First Aid Legislation
- Possible risks of injury or common diseases in the workplace environment
- Contents of a first aid box
- Management of an emergency
- Dealing with all first aid emergencies such as bleeding, shock, unconsciousness, choking, breathing difficulties, chest pain, circulation problems, fractures, burns and scalds, eye injury, bleeding, poisoning or any other possible first aid emergency specifically related to a particular working environment.
- Dealing with an unconscious casualty
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (This is assessed during the day course.)
